What makes Brambleton a progressive community?

A major part of what makes Brambleton progressive is how the management team works with each homebuilder – and listens to input from residents– to create new, innovative architectural designs, such as the “Yard in the Sky” concept with rooftop terraces in Downtown Brambleton. As a team, Brambleton watches for the latest kitchen, bath, basement and office space trends and works to give the necessary nods to the innovational ideas that our homebuyers need and want. This collaboration is key to how Brambleton stays one step ahead, and we pride ourselves on doing so year after year. A large part of the Brambleton philosophy is a commitment to Loudoun County as a whole. We continuously strive to partner with local charities, parent groups, our community schools, town center retailers and restaurants, and to implement new ideas our residents bring to us. It’s a Brambleton priority to support Loudoun County residents and the local government.

One Loudoun

What makes One Loudoun a progressive community?

One Loudoun is so much more than one thing. It’s everything you need all in one place. It’s an inexplicable feeling you simply have to experience to understand. It’s a confluence of culture and connectivity where everything works together in perfect harmony.

One Loudoun offers a very unique experience to Loudoun County. While the residential development is exciting and sought after, it seems the retail side is proving to be a trendsetter in the area. Is this observation true and was it always the plan?

One Loudoun is the essence of a promise delivered. A mixed-use, master-planned community is developed according to a plan. Hence the distinction as a “master-planned” community. There is a natural order or sequence to the success. Retail requires traffic and therefore was always planned within the natural order of the development. The mix of trendsetting retailers is a result of the market demands.

New Urbanism is an urban design movement which promotes environmentally friendly communities by creating walkable neighborhoods containing a wide range of housing and job types. Is this trend here at One Loudoun and how does the community fit into this movement?

One Loudoun is the epitome of a new urban environment and takes this concept to another level by expanding on the principals of new urbanism with five fundamentals of a new urban lifestyle where culture is expressed through the art of living, technology and humanity including:

Harmony – the quality of forming a pleasing and consistent whole

Social – companionship derived from community

Connected – bringing together in order to establish a relationship

Organic – a relationship of sustainable elements that fit together seamlessly to create the whole

Urban – a physical place of sophistication

You are home to the stores like Barnes and Noble, Matchbox, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Starbucks, among many others. One Loudoun is the place to be if you want to do business in Loudoun. How are you able to attract such large retailers to the area?

One Loudoun was able to capitalize on a void in the marketplace and deliver on it’s promise of creating an all-encompassing community. This idea of an all-encompassing place where people work, shop, live, dine, entertain is a natural attraction for retailers to be apart of such a progressive movement in a location where it previously did not exist yet there was clear demand. Retailers want to be where the people are and they have certainly found those people at One Loudoun.

What does the future hold for One Loudoun?

One Loudoun is not done yet! The best is yet to come and the experience is only going to be elevated by new and exciting residential office, retail and entertainment opportunities. Wait until you see “what’s next!”

You are a leader in the county as an environmentally responsible community. What does that mean?

One Loudoun is committed to providing a sustainable environment for its neighbors, residents and future generations. This is one of the hallmarks for a new urban community. Smart growth with low to no impact on the environment is built into every aspect of the community.

You are home to many community events, fairs and festivities, making One Loudoun not only a great place to live but also to visit. What big events are planned for 2018?

One Loudoun plans to continue many of the great traditions we’ve established for the community and the greater region including a weekly Farmer & Artisan Marketplace by, DowntownFest and the Holiday Tree Lighting in early December. Other favorites returning to the Plaza are Rocknoceros, Summer Concert Series, Flicks on the Bricks and the Carnival! Joining the event line-up this spring is Beer, Bacon and Music Festival. Many other events are in the works as always! To stay up to date on “What’s Next” at One Loudoun, sign up on our website at and follow us on social media!
