Social awareness and a sense of giving back is another significant trend happening in the beauty world. Just as we have become more conscious of what we put into our bodies with the foods we eat, we are becoming more aware of what we put on bodies with our skincare products and cosmetics. Dedicating more time to research, skincare lines are doing away with harsh chemicals and contaminants and investing in natural ingredients from the earth that are cruelty-free. Companies are giving back financially as well, either through education, investments, or contributions to deserving communities.
Cake Pop Lippie $10.00
I love this cosmetic line! Beauty Bakeries CEO Cashmere Nicole started her company out of a labor of love, and lots of hard work. This hip and fun line of cosmetics is gentle, paraben-free, and cruelty-free. With a wide range of shades and colors for lips, eyes, and face, Beauty Bakerie products are perfect for every skin tone. One of my favorite products is the Cake Pop Lippie. This lipstick means color and lots of it! The Lippie comes in two finishes, hydrating matte, and moisturizing creme. If you didn’t feel good enough about this purchasing from Beauty Bakerie, know that the company gives back with every purchase, making a lasting impact on children’s lives through their charitable ventures.

Dry Brush Bundle $37.00
Founder Danielle Conte is quite a fan of coconut oil, so much so that she decided to start a company and sell it! Conscious Coconut is a social enterprise fueled by that love. You can only feel good when you use these products that are fairly traded and know that this is not your ordinary coconut oil. I love the Dry Brush Bundle. Dry Brushing is an ancient practice that helps renew the skin and stimulate the lymphatic system as it encourages the body to get rid of toxins. Used in combination with the coconut oil, it helps diminish the appearance of cellulite and keeps your skin moisturized and looking radiant.
