Meet Hopes and Seams
In March, we saw a need when COVID-19 hit and wanted to give back and selflessly jumped in to help and dedicated our time and effort for the last 7 months to do what we could to help by donating protective masks to front-line workers and those most vulnerable.

We are twin sisters, Sophia and Amelie and are seniors at Rock Ridge HS. We proactively responded to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have provided thousands of masks to various organizations, including Mobile Hope Loudoun, the Inova Children’s Hospital, the Inova Schar Cancer Institute, Loudoun County Public School teachers and students, Food for Neighbors, Costa Family Dentistry and local Chick-Fil-A restaurants. With great awareness and compassion, Hopes & Seams has donated thousands of masks to populations that are particularly vulnerable to the threat of COVID-19, including the local elderly community and the Navajo Nation.

We also sell masks to so that we can continue our community efforts. Most recently we designed LCPS logo masks to show school spirit!

Every mask sold means we can continue to buy supplies to keep on giving back.

We are teen entrepreneurs making a difference one mask at a time!

Tell us how COVID-19 has changed your business
COVID actually started our business!

We proactively responded to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.  We saw the devastating news on TV day after day and wanted to do something to help with the PPE shortage and protect our community in the only way we knew how – to take action and start sewing masks!
What is your current status?
We sew our masks in our homes and sell on-line. We are a social -distant small business and contact-less delivery.
