Ticonderoga Farms holds an amazing Spring Festival every year in April. Every weekend in April the farm hosts three egg hunts daily divided into different age groups, each containing a special prize for the hidden Golden Goose Egg. Other activities include a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, giant hill slides, a huge jumping pillow, hayrides, animal feeding areas, pedal kart track, swinging bridge, and much more. Petalpalooza is one of the signature events at the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Featuring live music on multiple outdoor stages, a beer garden, all-ages activities, product giveaways, and much more along the piers of the Southwest Waterfront. Take in the half-mile-long stretch of The Wharf’s shops and restaurants as the National Cherry Blossom Festival transforms the waterfront community into a springtime spectacle for the day. Blossom Festival

From the National Archives to the Washington Monument, spectators can enjoy the pageantry and excitement of the nation’s premier springtime National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. Giant colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country, celebrity entertainers, and performers march down the parade route in a grand spectacle of music and showmanship. Herndon Community Center hosts the unique Aqua Egg Hunt in their indoor pool where children will collect as many floating and sinking eggs as possible in the time allowed. Everyone receives a prize. Ages six and under will use the shallow area, while ages seven and up will hunt for eggs in the entire pool. A parent in the water must accompany ages 6 and under. The National Memorial Day Parade draws thousands of spectators to the National Mall to pay tribute to those who have served, are serving, and most importantly honoring our fallen heroes. The parade is a moving timeline of American military history, honoring those who have served and sacrificed from the American Revolution to the present day. The event features more than forty military, high school and college bands from states across the U.S., historical reenactors, veteran’s organizations, and more than one thousand active duty military personnel.
