hulya_jadaDear Posh Moms,
You made it through summer. It’s back to school and time to put away the beach bag and the flip-flops and get the kids to bed at a decent time. What I’ll miss about summer is having my kids to myself. I loved that we didn’t ever really need to dress up or drive to a bus stop or carpool. I especially loved that the calendar wasn’t full of assignments due the next day! Even the Posh Seven office was chill during the summer. When people stopped by, they were wearing flip-flops or sipping on a big cup of something icy. The office was full of dogs and sometimes kids, but consistently there were good positive vibes.

As I write this, I’m sad that summer is over, but there’s the flip side to everything in life. I’m eager for my kids go back to school, because I look forward to going back to the routine, too. I like knowing what we are doing on a given day and setting goals for the week. I like structure, and I think kids need that, too. So it’s time to go back. Facebook will be full of posts of kids standing on their stoops. The kids will have grown just a little taller, smarter and cuter than when they left school in May. Life is like water—it slips through your fingers, and time is the one thing that eludes us. I wish I could press pause and keep the kids small and hug them just a little longer. So stay on your stoop a little longer and watch your kids start another school year. Don’t forget to take photos! Time may be fleeting, but our memories are always here to stay.

Our Back to School Issue is chock-full of information to jump-start your school year. I hope you’ll get as much out of it as I did.

P.S. Stoop photos, we love love them. So, hashtag us #poshseven if you would like us to see yours.
